Displacement Transducers
Asphalt Strain Transducers
The Asphalt Strain Transducers Model ASH-100H are designed to measure axial strain in flexible pavements, offering high- frequency, dynamic measurements. These sensors are built with a low modulus and ruggedized construction, making them capable of withstanding the high temperatures and vibratory rolling associated with asphalt placement. Each transducer features four active Wheatstone bridge elements (350 Ω) integrated into a single custom-built gage matrix, eliminating the need for fragile wiring to complete the bridge. The gage area is further protected to endure the vibrations during compaction operations. These transducers are engineered to operate within a wide temperature range of -30 to 200°C, ensuring durability in the extreme conditions of asphalt placement.
The Wheatstone full-bridge configuration of these transducers is compatible with most data acquisition systems and standard strain readout units, making them versatile for various applications.
